The Rally In The Valley seeks to bring light to the many strengths that accompany a recovering lifestyle. Recovery must be celebrated, not stigmatized; it is our purpose to promote recovery as a community concept. Grandparents, parents, children, drug and alcohol professionals, medical professionals, law enforcement, legislators, etc. are the many faces of recovery. We will use these inspirational individuals to motivate others to begin the rewarding journey of recovery, and to demonstrate how recovery strengthens our communities. The Rally in the Valley will highlight the common ground in recovery for those who struggle with addiction, mental health complications, and health and wellness issues. It will be a day to focus on eliminating barriers, and experience caring across all communities. The Rally in the Valley will be a celebration of food, fun, music, speakers, and local vendors who will join together to role model unity in recovery.

Marisa Vitali

is a woman of many skills --storytelling, producing, and beyond- but she is always drawn back to the gift that changed her life: acting. She began her craft at an early age and pursued a professional acting career. After struggling with addiction soon thereafter, the greatest challenge of her life, Marisa found security in her captivation with acting, grasping for self-truth in honest and raw performance. In treatment, she met the Obie Award winning Broadway director Lawrence Sacharow, who was then casting his off-Broadway play The Concept, a chronicle of the experiences of recovering addicts. She was cast in the show and found great inspiration. Perhaps the work Marisa is most proud of is her short film GRACE, which she wrote, produced, and starred in. Her performance in the film was highly praised in the festival circuit, including at the Academy Award Accredited USA Film Festival, the prestigious Carmel Film Festival and more. Marisa Vitali’s life has seen an amazing evolution from her beginnings.
